ABOUT THE EVENT

CrossFit Unity is hosting the Beast Wars, a team competition to raise money for local area animal rescue groups and shelters!

These are non-profit organizations, so come on out and have some fun!

Teams of two will compete in several events and will fight their way to the finals. The top three teams from each division, female, male, and coed, will continue on to claim the title of Top Dog.

There will be plenty going on aside from the competition as well. Animals will be on site for adoption, food will be available for purchase, complimentary chiropractic care (stretching and injury evals) is available, and much much more!

There is a $140.00 minimum donation per two man team, but of course more will be accepted! Donations help provide food, shelter, medical care, and supplies for animals awaiting adoption.

Sign up as teams of 2 consisting of either 2 females, 2 males, or 1 female and 1 male. All athletes CAN compete even if you do not meet the RX examples below. Workouts can and will be scaled for those in need. Teams that compete at the prescribed level will be eligible for prizes.

Here are examples of weights that may be used. Athletes should be able to lift 155/115 for thrusters, which includes squat cleans, front squats, and push press. 225/155 deadlifts, double unders, RX push-ups, pull-ups, 70/53 KB swings, etc.
